Research Interests

Research Summary

I am primarily a clinical gastroenterologist and general GI is mainly my practice. More recently I have cultivated an interest in small bowel capsule as an extension of endoscopy. I have also developed a small interest in IBD. Accordingly, I have initiated a couple of studies looking at SB US in Crohns disease as a means to decreasing the use of ionizing radiation with CT scans. Another area of interest is in quality assurance and following some QI projects undertaken together with our fellows, I have initiated pre-printed orders to ensure that current guidelines as set out by the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology are being followed when IBD patients are admitted to the hospital.
