Personal
Dr. Jagbir Gill is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the University of British Columbia and a transplant nephrologist at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. He is a Michael Smith scholar and research scientist at the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcomes Sciences and conducts health outcomes research in organ donation and transplantation. He has secured $3.32 million dollars in research funding and peer reviewed salary support as a principal applicant and an additional $10 million as a co-applicant peer-reviewed grant funding from agencies including CIHR, BC Transplant Research Foundation, and the Kidney Foundation of Canada. He was awarded the 2018 Research Excellence Award by the Canadian Society of Transplantation. Dr. Gill currently serves as Medical Director of Data and Quality for BC Transplant and Vice President of the Canadian Organ Replacement Register is a Director with the Canadian Society of Transplantation Board of Directors.
